That middle one is Chocolate, Caramel Coconut. The left one is Peanut Butter, chocolate and sex on a stick aka crumbly cookie/biscuit.
You can eat em straight from the box, but pros? Pros eat these bad boys frozen.
And thin mints, man. that right one? THIN MINTS. You may have heard of these. Chocolate biscuit infused with mint essence coated in dark chocolate.
Yeah.
Those thin mints.
The Thin Mints for which every grown ass American on a Medical Diet cries for when they see a girlscout.
The Thin Mints with 1000 copycats, and not a one of them successful.
Girl Scouts, regularly boycotted by Fundies and Anti-choice nutters, not only taste amazing, but you get the joy of giving money to a good cause, while subtly flipping the bird at overly wound up fundie groups.
It’s like donating to Planned Parenthood and getting a box of double dark chocolate with fudge filling tim-tams especially made for them.
The reason we eat them frozen is that we buy as many boxes of thin mints as we possibly can during that short sale period, and then store them for the dark months, like proud American squirrels.

It’s Golden Week in-game, so there are nonstop world bosses and double AP boosts, so I’ve been running my secondary toon into the ground trying to get her fully leveled. Whoops.

Responsible adulthood is overrated. For example, I spent most of the day today not studying for uni and trying to catch up on the writing goal I set for myself this year I’m insanely behind but oh well and rereading Les Misérables in English, which I have not done, since I only owned the French version until now. It turns out everyone dies in French or in English, which is depressing.
And, in lieu of wasting more of my life on this blue hellsite, I spent too much time writing creatively instead of academically. That said, writing creatively is a great way, it turns out, to start off strong and peter out pretty quickly into hating everything. I did have some good ideas, however, which is good since I’m almost in rewrites of the first draft. (The goal was originally to finish by the end of the year, which I think should be pretty doable.)
Novels are fun, except when they’re not.
Additionally, America is weird. I’m visiting family and studying abroad lol I’m not studying for a year, and it is not at all how I expected. The most notable difference, I must say, is that in Europe a 20-min drive will take you out of the country, and in America it takes you to the next town over. Is it always like this? Surely not. My experiences are limited, however, to New York and the rural, rural south, so I might not be the best judge of this country. The food is not as good, I will say. (Once one has had Belgium chocolate, normal chocolate is ruined pretty much forever.)
And, since this my first time doing this, and this seems to be in order: you’re awesome and this fandom is the nicest, most welcoming place on this aforementioned blue hellsite that I have ever joined, and I am so glad that I read those books and found these people. Which is all your fault, honestly. I blame you for all of it.

“Weird” feels like an understatement for America. Everything’s too big here, from the states to the cities to the homes to the portions. Ha! But yeah, it can take hours on the road just to get out of the state. I know we have some Texans around here who could probably put a better number to it. Study abroad is such an amazing experience, though!
Whaaat, you don’t like Hershey’s chocolate? ((Kidding, that stuff is sweet plastic.)) I don’t think I’ve ever tried Belgium chocolate. I really liked the chocolate we ate in Kuwait, probably because it had more flavor to it? But I can’t remember where Kuwait brought it in from. Hm.

i re-started school after dropping out last spring, re-filled my anti depressant perscription after forgetting the last two months, and re-took up running after drifting off into a depressive funk and stopping last month!!
and i got really drunk on saturday it was magnificent
oh and i bought a tree. and flower seeds. im growing a garden. this week has been awesome everythings on the mend

Well last week was my birthday. I didn’t work (I ask to have the day off! because yeah, birthday, not workday !) and a friend take me to a restaurant HD Diner to eat a hamburger and a milkshake. And it was SO GOOD. I eat so much, I could have just roll to go home…
Also, Sunday, when I was making my breakfast, I forgot to add the milk in my bowl, so when I put it in the microwave, the cocoa powder catch fire… oups.
I lost my favorite bowl but not my appartement… So lucky me ?
Don’t know what next week will bring me expect many sandwichs (working in a sandwich shop can do that) and a lot of sewing !

i finished your books, am getting acquainted with the fandom, and am contributing edits all in the space of a week. now i’m set on making everyone i know read them!! really, i love them too much. i’m dying.

Last week was so so cold. Work as fine (my boss was unusually nice/cheerful which was weird but ok and there weren’t too many rude customers). But getting there and getting back home was hell. I finally saw The Revenant which was kind of fitting since Leo seemed to be also very cold the whole film. I didn’t get as much reading done as I would have liked but that happens sometimes. So this week was rather uneventful.
When people are nicer than they usually are it’s definitely unsettling. That weird mix of “what are you on” and “what do you want from me”. Ack. A break from rude customers is always a blessing! People’ve said that if everyone spent time in customer service there’d be no rude customers, but I’m pretty sure there would still be total jerks floating around making our lives difficult.
How was The Revenant? I don’t know if I can watch it without thinking of it as a clever Inception scheme– what with having Leo & Tom Hardy in the same place again.

this week. what the hell did I do this week. ah, yes. studied (which is, as you very well know, the only reason why I’m not playing jfc I miss that game I need to kill things and had all the missions perfectly lined up) had uncomfortable and hopeless phone calls with sad people (’t was not a fun time, 0/10 would not recommend) froze my ass outside home because cold+sea don’t go well together tried to keep track of all the new foxes????? I’m failing majestically, @foxholemadness is the only reason why I haven’t fucked up everything yet slept like 4 hours per morning (doesn’t count as night if it’s 6am right?) and this is basically it. but oh! there was something good yesterday–I think it was yesterday– let’s see if I can add it HERE. it’s like the most italian thing ever: random loud music, opera, and church bells xD
*shakes fist* curse you, exams, for coming between Etra and Golden Week!!!
Valentine’s Event is coming up in February, but I’m not sure what all it entails – I didn’t have the game last winter, so it’ll be new for both of us! Be there or be square D:< <3

Not-working, mostly? Had almost four days off in a row, which was really weird – part of it because of scheduling, part of it because of the snow & ice that put NC in a state of emergency. Still sick, but I think the vodka is working its magic finally.
A 1st is the top grade you can get in English uni systems. 70%+ (: (That said I was also joint top of my class for the performance mark)

This week I effed up! I came back home to be a good daughter and help my mom out while she had her hip surgery, and I fell down the stairs like a moron, and twisted my ankle so bad I’m not allowed to move for three weeks - I already have cabin fever, and am useless to my mom.
I also procrastinated on my translation work, so the coming week is going to be work, work, getting distracted, panicking, work, swearing at my ankle, work.
Hope other Foxes were better at living than me~
