nora my dear i’m going to take this as confirmation that matt/neil are such High Level Bros in neil’s junior year that matt bench-presses neil for fun ok xoxo

I’m pretty sure by that point Neil trusts him enough that he’d def let Matt try if Matt asked.

Cue the inappropriate jokes from Nicky and the resigned disgust from Aaron over such ill-timed humor

unrelated to pretty much everything but

as fond as I am of the final draft of TFC, I know the books are pretty much a failure in diversity. It’s a mistake I hope I won’t repeat. I’ve taken another look at Monochrome, since it’s the most likely to get finished next, and so far we’re 50/50 with the 8 main characters. There’s still the lingering fear that I’m going to fuck something up along the way, but I want to try, and I want to learn, and I want to do better going forward.

Okay i did some Actual Math about that part where Andrew puts his chin on top of his racquet
The racquet is 5.5 feet long and he’s 5 feet tall, so his chin was probably about 4 ft 2 inches of the ground. The racquet must have been at a serious angle–it ends up with 3.5 feet between his feet and the bottom of the racquet. I think the goalkeeper’s box is only 3 feet wide, so do with that what you will.

I love you x°D

Sounds like another typo - got a stack of them to fix if the books ever make it to paperback. But fwiw the goal is a 3yd tall x 7yd wide area on the wall - roughly the same size as a soccer goal. Lot of territory for an ittybitty to cover!

The year is 1995, congress member Bernie Sanders stands in opposition of a homophobic statement said by Duke Cunningham. Cunningham derisively refers to “homos in the military” to support his argument while (strangely) discussing the Clean Water Act. Sanders, having none of it, quickly rises to the defense of thousands of men and women everywhere. Sanders ire is such that he repeatedly disrespects the Chairman by speaking over him in order to say his piece. [Video Source]

What does this say for Sanders? Well, that’s for you to decide. But to me, it says that for 20+ years strong he has shown his public support for LGBT+ persons everywhere, even in the face of ridicule and disrespect. Unlike some, Sanders has always been vocal about his beliefs concerning the LGBT+ community, and he has always held them. Key word always, and not just when doing so might garner him support for his campaigns.

Worth watching

I don’t mean to impose a personal favour on you guys, but I really would like to ask that everyone who follows me reblog this.

I don’t think I made it very clear but last month I was sexually assaulted by someone who I thought was my friend (I don’t want to talk about it don’t ask), and it’s… really fucked with my head.

Had I known this a month ago I would have been able to get away

So, essentially, I’m really pleading with you to reblog this so everyone who follows you doesn’t get stuck in the same position I was with no way out.

I mean again I don’t want the point of this to be my sob story or whatever but if you could reblog this it would seriously mean a lot

@korakos did you know who we have over 300 foxes now!!??

My Monday has pretty much consisted of cleaning my house since me and my flat mate kinda neglected it for the last week and a bit ‘cause we had the final shows of our last module.. All good but glad its over. And then I’ve been reading Ready Player One (finished it earlier today) and doing lots of Foxes admin with Etra..

Sleep is for suckers phase seems to be a theme atm but I’ve been fluctuating between that and passing out at like 9pm..

I’m sorry your coworker got you sick! Hope you feel better soon!!
Please do try to get some sleep! And hope this next week is more productive for you!!

That’s literally insane, weren’t we 18 people and a cardboard dog like two days ago? I stand by my joke that the reader demographics are primarily the TRC fandom – just went to Amazon to check something and TFC shows up as the “Customers Also Bought” on the page for Maggie’s TRK. Kind of feels like I’m scamming someone here! Thank you so much for all you do here on Tumblr ;_; <3

I think I started Ready Player One years ago but couldn’t finish it – what did you think of it? House cleaning is such a necessary evil, I hate it, bahhh. “Final shows”? Also yikes! Passing out at 9 = yay sleep! but it feels like you lose so much evening that way, yeah?

Thank you!! I’ll try.

dreamofwasps:

@korakos this is my monday!! i’m also in a sleep is for suckers phase. i stayed up all night working on this and now i’m trying to finish it up. it’s a drawing of my grandmother who passed away in October. i actually originally sat down to draw some fanart for tfc and ended up with this. *shrug emoji*

that nastiness has been going around here too. i’ve had a cold for over two months D: i hope you feel better!! and maybe get some sleep so you can get better lol

This is amazing!!! Like, holy crap! I love the expression on her face.

I’m sorry for your loss. :( I’m glad you have your art to help you remember and honor her!

Ha, if I could sleep, I would sleep – in the meantime there’s rum & medicine, I guess? Find whoever gave you that cold and annihilate them, two months is way too long to be sick, jfc. Please get rid of that cold (plague) posthaste.

monday monday monday

Time flies when you’re going out of your mind!

I don’t have much to say this week, so I hope you guys have plenty to make up for it. A coworker has managed to get me sick, which is always fun, but I’m also currently neck-deep in a “sleep is for suckers” phase. I swear this happens every other week or so, where I either can’t sleep for more than an hour at a time or I have fun nights like Saturday where I slept an hour, was up for three, and managed another half-hour before I had to be up for work. Fun times were had by all! So I haven’t gotten anything done as far as goals go, whoops. Maybe this week will be better, ahahaha..ha… *drinks*

Ummm there was something else, but I forgot it. YOUR TURN. @ me, distract me.

silverlullabies:

Can we talk about the fact that every time anybody is asked “what would you do if you won the lottery”, everybody’s first and immediate response is “Pay off all my debt”. It’s not “buy a sports car”, “go on vacation”. First response is always “pay off all my debt”

Like America’s citizens are so damn poor that people literally have to fantasize about winning the lottery in order to not be in debt anymore.
That’s so sad and pathetic of America. Richest country in the world and people have to fantasize about winning an impossible game in order to live the standard American dream.
