I feel like this could be a legitimate game in Australia.
Was looking through my death and imagery tags in search of old Elysium visuals and found this.
I mean I know it’s shopped but just imagine it crawling between her lips into the bubble like freedom?
You’re welcome, sleep tight tonight.

Anonymous asked:
why are you asexual? youre sooo cute!
New urban fantasy theory:
Walmart hires vampires. This explains why it’s open 24 hours a day, why working there is often described as ‘soul-sucking’, and why there’s almost always no windows.
Most damningly, Walmart is one of the few stores that specifically hires a ‘greeter’ with no other job than to welcome every person into the store.
Because vampires have to be invited in.

So it was easier to just write this here than send two asks (see also: I am lazy af and I tend to ramble)— Last night I went to bed at midnight thinking I was gonna be an adult and get some sleep, and then I was like Nah I’ll just start reading that raven book thing that clarkequeengriffin and coldsaturn keep referencing.
So – yes, I finished it, I actually got through book 1 and at least half of book 2 (between the hours of, y’know, midnight and 7am when I was supposed to be sleeping) – but here’s the thing, I don’t know what to think about it.
One of my biggest problems when it comes to reading is that it’s just hard to— care? Care is the wrong word, saying I don’t care sounds strong. So let’s say I’m not curious.
The author has a beautiful style, lovely words, borderline flawless, and I don’t have anything against the characters, but I’m facing the same problem I usually face when I try to read (one of the main reasons I stopped reading in the first place)– I’m not curious about what comes next. I opted to stay up all night because by 15% into the first book I realized if I stopped I might not come back to it. So it was easier to just stay up and keep reading til the finish line.
I’ll finish book 2 sometime soon, and chances are good I’ll read 3 and 4, but – maybe it’s one of those ideas that’ll seep in unnoticed, and fill up all the cracks where you didn’t think it was going to fit. And then in a month or two I’ll just be sitting there and going Damn, That book was actually pretty interesting. Anyway, it’s a work in progress.
I’ve never really had this problem because I just love reading so much, but in this specific case I’m somehow in the same boat, though not really: I don’t really care for what happens in the story, I just really love how she paints with words. the characters are nice too, even though I’m just curious about the gay ship.
what kind of books make you care for what happens next (or if it’s never happened: which books came close to it)? is there a trope or a type of character that make you stick to the story? (not necessarily making you curious about how it will end–90% of the times I don’t care how it will end, I just need to enjoy how I get there–but interested enough that you like reading nth scenes in which the characters face challenges and react to each other)
p.s. you pulled an all-nighter for a book that you didn’t even like all that much, you’re precious
Adding a cut because it’s starting to get long o_o one of these days I will learn how not to ramble haha not someone please remind me that tumblr is not LJ and not conducive for ranting

me and every story ever
*gently pulls a long-neglected project out of the closet, dusts it off, buys it a drink, and then proceeds to ruin the lives of every character inside*
“How good of you to join us again, Brimstone. The world is boring when Nevere’s favored child is out cold.”
- me: I really need to do this thing today.
- me: Yeah okay sure but hold on, hear me out, okay... but what if, okay, what if we do it TOMORROW instead?
- me: Oooh yes.

indelicateink tagged the world, and for once I actually had some boring answers to provide.
What was the last movie you saw?
Kingsman. Or whatever its name is called? I think I keep calling it the wrong thing. Was as crazy as I thought it would be, except because of all the tumblr slashing some people, something unexpected happened.
What was the last song you listened to?
Talking Body, by Tove Lo. Found a new radio station today! I’ve been listening to country pretty much nonstop since moving to North Carolina, but recent attempts at recovery include forays into other genres I used to listen to. Woo.
What was the last show you watched (be it TV, Netflix, online, etc)?
Elementary. I have a feeling The 100 will be next– my sister wasdplz just tore through it, and now my dash is full of it from coldsaturn and clarkequeengriffin. If I get dragged into another long show I'mma throw skittles at them.
What was the last book you read?
Y'know what, I have no honest clue. I haven’t really sat down and read anything memorable in a while. But I’m about to start the Raven Cycle series. I blame coldsaturn and clarkequeengriffin for this one, too.
If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be?
San Francisco! If I could be anywhere with all kinds of money, then Japan or Europe, but as-is, San Francisco. With mysoulforcoffee and Firefly and Bones and— well, everyone I left behind when I ran away, haha…
If you could pick a decade to travel back to in time, what would it be?
Not that far back, actually–I’d go back to the first decade of the 2000s when I was still in college and try to set myself on a better path. I’m not really interested in historical periods, so my time travel would be very self-serving.
If you won the lotto and won millions in cash, what would be the first thing you would do?
Pay off my debt so I could breathe! I promise everything after that first thing is a lot more exciting.
Which fictional character would you want to hang out with for a day?
Since I am an absolute failure at functioning in social situations, none. If I could be pen pals with fictional characters, though, I’d probably be a lot more open to the idea. Though actually— no, not drunk enough to get into that conversation. More another time, maybe!
What was the last fandom you joined?
Hawaii 5-0? No, maybe Teen Wolf was more recent. Yeah, that’s how long ago I liked something enough to skirt around fandom. Oh Stiles. I think I am a season or two behind, though. Got caught up writing and then got caught up recovering from writing and I have no idea where the show has gone since then.
Tagging: anyone! Give me a glimpse into your lives :D
Q
A
gladiolus: you pierce my heart. Fenris/f!Hawke.
In the literal sense, it’s not pleasant, and she’s seen him do it more times than she can count – so many, in fact, that she barely bats an eye these days. There’s always a pause, a breath before impact, followed by a sound that is almost comically grotesque. And then it’s out, giving its last, desperate shudder in the palm of his hand.
No, it’s definitely not pleasant, this literal breaking of hearts. But in the strictly figurative sense, Hawke supposes it doesn’t hurt any less.
“I gave my heart once,” she says one day. “To the baker’s boy.”
This will never die.
