do nicky and allison ever become better friends? I know they were less hostile towards each other after seth was gone, but do they make a go of being anything other than civil or sometimes sympathetic?

A

They will always drive each other crazy, but they’ll learn to recognize the affection behind that exasperation and annoyance. It helps when they’re an us & them with next year’s freshman, and helps more that Nicky is Matt’s roommate. Since Nicky keeps sneaking out from under Andrew’s radar to socialize, he gets more time with the upperclassmen, and they can finally start relaxing around one another. He gives her marketing tips when she starts in on her fashion career, never mind that she has people to do that for her, and now and then she’ll send him some clothes to “test”.
