The thing about Matt’s bachelor party is they make the mistake (?) of letting Nicky plan it, because Aaron doesn’t know shit about throwing parties, Neil hasn’t got a clue where to start, Kevin is content to just tag along, and Andrew doesn’t care enough to do more than acknowledge that a wedding is coming. So Nicky plans it, and Neil funds it, and they end up in Vegas. Matt’s been to Vegas a couple times – mostly to watch his mother’s fights – but Dan wasn’t as keen on the scene as he was*** so this is a perfect excuse to go back and party.
Neil’s one contribution to the planning is “no strippers” when Nicky first mentions it ((out of respect for Dan)), and Aaron agrees because he doesn’t trust Nicky not to hire male strippers. But Nicky finds the loophole that even Dan will laugh at later, and he hires the Snowy Starlets ((the lovely ladies Dan used to strip with)) as the night’s entertainment. The girls stop by the hotel room for the show, then go about their business on the Foxes’ dime.
The boys then spend the rest of the night watching shows, drinking, and playing ridiculous amounts of penny slots ((and the horse racing game)). Nicky decides he’s going to run away from home and join Cirque du Soleil, and Andrew dares Aaron to climb into the lion’s cage. ((Aaron is drunk enough that he actually looks for the entrance)) They go in and out of the dance clubs whenever the beat is compelling enough. Nicky takes a trillion pictures on his phone, Kevin manages to be a happy drunk, Neil gets really buzzed, Matt says I LOVE HER SO MUCH??? a hundred thousand times at every single break in the conversation, even Aaron has a bit of fun, and Andrew manages to shepherd them from Point A to Point B without losing anyone.
Later when they’re all pretty tanked Matt & Aaron & Kevin go on and on about the amazing ladies in their lives. Neil and Andrew watch over them from the balcony with smokes & drinks in hand, but Nicky pretends it’s the worst conversation he’s ever overheard and wanders off to pass out on the bathroom floor.
The hangovers the next morning are absolutely awful, but worth every second.
*** Dan what is wrong with you, Vegas is the greatest place in the USA, it is my spirit city D:
