How does Kevin feel about all of this? Does he ever get jealous of andrew sharing his attention and not listening to him in favour of neil? Did he know before everyone else they werer together? How does he feel abt his teammates, esp neil?

A

Yes, Kevin was the first to catch on. His only concern with Andrew & Neil is what their relationship might do for their prospects and earning potential. He doesn’t honestly care about their sexuality beyond that.

Kevin would never call it jealousy, because it’s impossible that someone like him could be jealous of someone like Neil? ((arrogance, thy name is Kevin)). He is simply annoyed that they are too busy having issues with each other to take full advantage of his time and investment. He is so selfish when it comes to them, but it’s a selfishness born out of admiration – he knows they can be champions; he sees the future of Exy in their potential. He wants them to be stars, and he wants to be the one who helps build them up. He is as hellbent on their success as he is on his own comeback.

Kevin meant it when he chewed Neil out for trying to pressure Andrew into playing – he needed Andrew to come to the court of his own volition. Once Andrew finally commits, Neil is free to drag Andrew as far into the rabbit hole as he can and Kevin will lean on Neil to push Andrew harder.

Kevin thinks of the Foxes as players first and people second; he always has and always will. Not to say he doesn’t like them, but what he wants from them and for them will always be tied into this game. He’ll always consider them to be teammates, not friends. ‘Tis how he was raised, yeah? and he’s going to marry a woman who thinks the same way he does, so. Thank god for Amalia.
