In TKM when Neil is questioning Andrew about Roland's overshare/misinterpretation, what is Andrew thinking about as he stares at Neil's hands?

First: what brought that conversation up in the first place, then: distraction upon seeing those injuries showing, and thinking about the rooftop where Neil said he wasn’t going to lose Andrew, but mostly: did Roland seriously throw him under the bus like that?
