Yeah this is straight up Canon. I have followed the author for years and her friend wrote a fiction in the tfc world about Alvarez and Laila and she incorporated them into a later book. I mean I was just an observer but p sure her friends fic is canon and it was about Alvarez and laila as a lesbian couple. Recommend checking it out. Prob it’s the oldest fiction on ao3

Don’t Speak Against the Sun is the oldest AO3 fic, ya, was a surprise fic from Z while I was struggling to get my act together with the final TKM edits. Tish & Sarah ((and their team)) are Z’s creations entirely, and Laila & Alvarez were a quiet response back. I owe Z a helluva lot more than some ninja nod, though, considering how many years she’s put up with me and my incessant BUT WHAT ABOUT emails.
Although I never want to write a fourth TFC book, for a while there I really wanted to write the outlying stories – a book about Dan’s first year with the Foxes or a book starring the Trojans in the year after the events of TKM ((with obligatory Fox cameo at finals)). Luckily for me & my sanity, Dan’s story ran aground years ago and there are enough Trojan headcanons flying around that I don’t have to do any real work. Ha.
