Finally convinced a coworker to chop all my hair off, but she’s got like a foot and a half on me so it was hella uneven. Sister managed to fix most of it when I came home. ((Guess she should’ve cut it for me last week when I first asked her to, ha.))

Still don’t have a store in Portland, have been calling around to places looking for an open spot but so far no luck. I’d have more options if I didn’t use Yelp as a reference, but I like knowing what customers think of the staff–if all the reviews are like “SUPER RUDE BARISTAS HERE” then I’m sure af not gonna wanna work there. People might drive me up the fucking wall 9 times out of 10 but I have pretty fierce customer service ideals and I demand my coworkers live up to them.

Current goal is to stay with Sbux at least until the new year, preferably with a morning shift so I can spend my afternoons studying programming and writing. By 2017 would like to have enough computer know-how under my belt to switch careers. Guess we’ll see.

Am pretty sure I’mma have to shelve Monochrome for a while, because I still can’t love the main characters. That puts Elysium front & center again, which is kind of nice – Ely is 11~12 yrs old and has been queried before, even had its full requested a couple times while I was living in SF – except there are a couple overlapping plot points with TRC. Or what look like overlapping plot points to someone who hasn’t actually read the entire TRC series ((stopped after book 2 and never went back)). Still teetering back & forth on whether or not I have to throw the entire thing away, but hopefully @selurdour and @coldsaturn can help me keep it on its own path.
